, laptop CPU, average ~45C . ( ) Speed FAN-. -> 65C max full load.
VGA- , ...As for CPU temperatures to expect, when idle, my CPU keeps between 39 and 45 degrees Celsius, and it goes up to about 65 under full load. If yours is significantly hotter than this, you may need to alter the fan speeds in dsdt.dsl. See above.
EDIT:Start worrying if the temperature goes over 70 degrees Celsius and keeps rising, but anything below 100 degrees Celsius won't harm the processor.
->In contrast to the display, an ambient light sensor (which adjusts backlight intensity to the current lighting conditions) works great. The reference brightness can be tuned manually (Fn-F9 and Fn-F10) when the sensor is on (an average malcontent should be satisfied by that). Its activity is turned on/off by the Fn-F11 combination.Last edited by OCFreeze; 13th May 2007 at 10:53.

ambient (fn+F11) e:
A HP " " - (~2005), :The issue of getting dimmer, could it be because you have the Ambient Light Sensor on? When on, this will cause your LCD to go dimmer the darker the room gets and brighter the brighter the room gets. You can turn this feature on/off with Fn+F11.
( )... F9 F10 .Initially, HP did have issues with the LCD (using a bad brand) and it caused the LCD to have a muddy/dirty look to pure white backgrounds. According to HP, these were replaced with better Samsung LCD's, so you may want to see if they can replace it with one of these. Oh, the one I have is the WSXGA+ LCD, so I don't know about the WXGA models.
