1. Start - Run - sfc /runnow
HijackThis run-.The SFC.exe utility provides a method of ensuring that your OS system files aren't overwritten and lost by third party software by keeping a cache of system files which it can refer to and copy back at your request. The SFC can also check for the version of each individual system file.
SFC comes with Windows 2000, 2003 Server and XP.
Basic Useage
Firstly you need Administrators priviledges to use SFC.exe
The following command line processes maybe run with the following switches.
sfc /runnow
sfc /scanonce
sfc /scanboot
All will scan and repair the system files.
