    ,!

To confirm what you stated, ASUS does not support Windows 7 drivers on that motherboard platform.
One thing you can try, which may work, is to manually install the drivers in Device Manger.

    Try this:

    1. Go to: http://support.asus.com/download/download.aspx
    2. Type M2N-E SLI as the model on the upper right hand side and search
    3. Select M2N-E SLI as the in the results list
    4. Select Windows Vista 32-bit as the OS
    5. Expand 'Audio' category and download the BETA driver, v5.12.8.1701
    6. Download to desktop, or someplace easy to get to and extract it there
    7. Click START
    8. Right click 'Computer'
    9. Click 'Properties'
    10. Click on 'Device Manager' on the upper left hand side of the window
    11. Expand 'Sound, Video, and Game Controllers' category
    12. Right click your sound device and click 'Update Driver Software'
    13. Click 'Browse My Computer' and browse to the folder where you unzipped the BETA driver.
    14. Once you locate the folder, browse into the 'Audio_Vista\SoftwareDriver\driver' folder and click 'NEXT'

If Windows 7 can rebuild the audio driver, it may work for you. Give it a shot and let us know.

    Thanks!
