"...I think neliz got his information from tweakers.net rumors. A rough translation/interpretation from tweakers.net:
-Hybrid Evergreen/NI
-Much improved stream processor architecture
-Much improved tesselation unit with 3 or 4 times Cypress performance
-Enhanced rasterizer for improved efficiency
-Improved UVD unit
-Improved cache architecture for better GPGPU performance
-6600 has 1 "SP module", 40nm, planned for Q4 2010
-6700 has 2 "SP modules", 40nm, 10-20% faster than GF100 with 512SP, 400-440mm2, planned for Q3 2010
-6800 has 4 "SP modules", 28nm, 512 bit memory bus, planned for Q1 2011...."
"....performance for the 6700 model is targeted 20% over the GTX480. tape-out was a bit longer ago than just recently. FLOP throughput on the 6800 might be 4 times faster..."
"...a 6700 would be faster than GTX480 and 5870. So a 6700 would have around 3TFlop @40nm and a 6800 would have 6TFlop at 28nm but not show up until somewhere in 2011.
I think "increased efficiency" is the keyword of the coming AMD designs...."
"...If the HD6770 is ~420mm² at 40nm, it would measure about 220mm² at 28nm. That could be enough for 256bit GDDR5 interface (without sideport). 28nm part could later replace the inital 40nm model as slightly faster HD6790...."
1536 SPs, 1600 Cypress. 4D, 4D+1D. .. Transcendental unit.

"There are about 1650 islands in the lake with the total area of about 250 km².[1][8] Whereas the most famous is Kizhi, which contains historical wooden churches of the 18th century, the largest island is Big Klimenetsky with the area of 147 km². It contains a few settlements, a school and an 82-meter tall hill. Other large islands are Big Lelikovsky and Suysari.[4]"
So we have:
Big Klimenets ky: 1536 SP (4 Modules à 6 SIMD engines, with 16 4-way VLIW each), 96 TMU, 32 ROP, 256-bit MI
Kizhi: 768 SP (2 x 6 x 16 x 4), 48 TMU, 24 ROP, 192-bit MI
Big Lelikovsky: 384 SP (1 x 6 x 16 x 4), 24 TMU, 16 ROP, 128-bit MI
Suysari:: 192 SP (1 x 6 x 8 x 4), 12 TMU, 8 ROP, 64-bit MI

:The two codenames being rumoured are "Turks" and "Caicos", which would replace Redwood (HD 5600/5500) and Cedar (HD 5400), respectively. A product codenamed "Cayman" will be a direct replacement for Cypress and the Radeon HD 5800 series. We can also expect a dual-GPU enthusiast product based on this chip. Interestingly, there is no mention of a Juniper / HD 5700 replacement, which is a rather popular product. Perhaps it could be a return to the HD 4000 three-chip structure, with a shrink following later.
http://forums.guru3d.com/showthread....315663&page=13the successor to Juniper is Barts.
