23rd August 2010 10:14 #2NCQ is supported in the nForce5 series for AMD. AHCI is not supported on the nForce5 or nForce4 series or even the nForce6 series with the exception of the chipsets with a motherboard GPU onboard (ie Geforce 7050 and Geforce 7150, etc..). The motherboards which support AHCI do not support SATA IDE mode through the nForce drivers. On these motherboards, if you wish to run the controller in SATA IDE mode, these motherboards use the Microsoft built in drivers.
Regards,
NVIDIA Customer CareAHCI . - , . NCQ , 4- NF, NV AHCI, NV Intel.NForce4 chipset mainboards do not have any BIOS option to enable the AHCI mode of the nForce S-ATA ports.
Nevertheless you will be able to get the "hot swapping feature", if you install the suitable nForce IDE drivers (v9.99.09 or v10.3.0.21) the correct way.Last edited by DEVIATOR; 23rd August 2010 at 10:26.
