    Win8 ( -)
    -! 8 2 !

All Windows 8 licensed hardware will be shipping with secure boot enabled by default in their replacement for the BIOS, Unfied Extensible Firmware Interface (UEFI). So far, so good, who doesn't want more security? The fly in the soup is that by default only Windows 8 will run on these systems, so no Linux, no BSD, heck, no Windows XP for that matter. http://www.zdnet.com/blog/open-sourc...d-fedora/11187

ASUS started preparing for Windows 8 early to ensure fully-optimized products on day one. ASUS innovation has also resulted in dedicated Windows 8-tailored features such as Fast Boot, DirectKey, and ASUS Boot Setting, all tapping the capabilities of the new operating system.
Early readiness means a better experience for you
ASUS and Microsoft worked closely on Windows 8 compatibility, putting products through rigorous tests. New drivers and BIOS versions were built ground-up, meaning total product stability. These efforts resulted in the P8Z77-M becoming the first motherboard to pass Windows 8 WHQL certification on June 5, showing the ASUS passion for perfection continues to benefit you. But customer happiness goes deeper than development, and ASUS will continue to improve products after Windows 8 launches for an always-optimized experience. With every motherboard and feature, your satisfaction is our focus, and we are sure you will make the most of Windows 8 only on ASUS motherboards.

ASUS has released new hardware and software designs to shorten system boot-up time to 2-seconds* for a smoother user experience that removes annoying delays under Windows 8, and even previous versions of Windows. Faster system boot and restart means Windows starts quicker and higher efficiency - No more waiting around.

Among the many changes coming with Windows 8 and new computers designed for it is a change in the way we access our computers BIOS. No longer do we press a certain key during the boot process to reveal the BIOS instead, an option to access the BIOS is located in Windows 8s boot options menu.
