    @svetlyo
    K8L will not wipe the floor with Core2, it will only catch up and be on par. One will be only a little faster than the other, clock for clock. K8L will be a FPU monster and will outperform Core2 in FP related tasks. But it will loose in AL. Both will have roughly same SSE performance, while there is no SSSE3/SSE4 supported software.
    The problem with Barcelona, when it arrives, is that it will be clocked low, 2.1GHz-2.5Ghz and will have to compete against higher clocked Clovertown(3GHz parts are ready, waiting for launch). Server software mostly depends on ALU performance, where Core2 dominates. So, don't expect miracles from Barcelona. Barcelona will have the advantage of its point-to-point buses and its performance will scale better in DP/MP environment. The other advantage of Barcelona is its better power management and better power efficiency. This is very important for servers.
    But soon after Barcelona, if not at same time, will arrive Penryn and the Caneland platform with a quad-FSB chipset with 64MB snoop filter. It will avoid Barcelona's power efficiency(performance/watt) advantages and it will clearly outperform it in 1P/2P and 4P environment.

    @fellix I understand(90%) bulgarian, but I don't know good enough(grammar, words found, etc.) to be able to write. , . .

    @svetlyo
    The mainboard(s) price is only a small % of total price of an server($200 vs $15000). There are much more important factors than a small difference in price:
    - stability and realibility
    - performance
    - energy efficiency
