    A2, 2006

    , bablefish,

Founder AMD prepares his future processors which it will align vis-a-vis with new Intel architecture (Conroe, Merom, Woodcrest) planned for the second six-month period 2006. The principal innovation remains the passage to Socket m2 which will bring the management of the DDR2 but the processors remain confined with the K8 architecture which made the success of Athlon 64.

AMD should propose 12 processors compatible with new Socket m2 during this second six-month period. Each range of processors Athlon 64, Athlon 64 X2, Athlon 64 FX and even Sempron, should have a representative compatible with new Socket. Two models in particular should be launched at the time of the introduction of Socket m2: Athlon 64 X2 5000+ and Athlon 64 FX-62.

Athlon 64 X2 5000+ will be given rhythm to 2,6 GHz and will embark 512 KB of memory hiding place by core. Athlon 64 FX-62, always Dual Core since model FX-60, will be given rhythm to 2,8 GHz and will have for its part 1 Mo by core. Athlon 64 3500+ (2,2 GHz), 3800+ (2,4 GHz) and 4000+ (2,6 GHz) will be declined on Socket m2. All these new Athlon 64 will have the technology of virtualisation AMD, baptized Pacifica.

Side of Sempron, there is good news since the models compatible with Socket m2 will have 256 KB of mask and finally of a controller report Dual Channel. For the moment, four models should be available: Sempron 3000+ (1,6 GHz), 3200+ (1,8 GHz), 3400+ (2.0 GHz) and 3500+ (2,2 GHZ).
    256 , .....

    Virtualization
Virtualization uses software to provide the illusion that a single physical computer is actually many computers (these illusory machines are called virtual machines) so that multiple operating systems can run side-by-side on that single computer. The software that implements virtualization is called a virtual machine monitor (VMM) or, sometimes, a hypervisor. Virtualization is used on desktop computers to facilitate the running of software written for an operating system that is different from the desktop computer, simultaneously with the users primary operating system.
